Naos Project

Remnants of the bands Broken, Seven Oz Crown and Real.

Naos Project was a San Antonio, Texas–based rock band that emerged in the early 2000s, blending melodic alternative rock with a faith-driven edge. Featuring Ernest Isaac Benavidez aka Lynnwood Presley King (guitar, vocals; Broken), Jorge Luevano (guitar; 7oz Crown), Wesley Vargulish (bass; 7oz Crown), and Juan ‘Rhino’ Alvarez (drums; Real), the band carved out a place in the regional scene with their energetic live shows and emotionally driven songwriting.

Touring nationally, Naos Project built a growing following through appearances at major festivals including Cornerstone Festival, Sonshine Festival, and Warped Tour. During this time, the band was signed to Mike Kelley’s Seamless Talent Agency, further expanding their national reach and touring presence.

In 2005, Naos Project released their album This City Never Sleeps, a record that captured the urgency and introspection of the era through driving guitars, anthemic hooks, and reflective lyrics. The release helped define their sound and connect with audiences across both the independent rock and Christian alternative circuits.

Rooted in San Antonio’s thriving local music community, Naos Project stands as a snapshot of mid-2000s underground rock—where grassroots touring, message-driven music, and raw live performance came together to leave a lasting impression.
