Broken – Re-Release Bio (Wolf Music Group)
Formed in the late 1990s, Broken emerged from the Texas rock scene with a raw, hard-hitting sound that fused alternative metal, rapcore, and melodic hard rock. Fronted by vocalist Isaac Benavidez (also known as Lynnwood Presley King), the band became known for its intense live performances and emotionally driven songwriting during a defining era of underground heavy music.
Broken gained national traction with the release of their self-titled album on Mercy Street Records, distributed through Pamplin Music Group. Together, they crafted a sound that balanced aggressive instrumentation with introspective themes, highlighted in tracks like “Beautiful,” “Stand,” and “Cage.” Blending heavy riffs, rhythmic vocal delivery, and atmospheric textures, Broken captured the spirit of a transitional moment in rock—where genre lines blurred and underground scenes thrived.
This re-release through Wolf Music Group revisits the band’s original recordings, preserving the legacy of a group that left a lasting impression within the independent heavy music landscape.
